2019 Porsche 911 Specs

The next-generation of Porsche 911 is still undeniably a 911, carrying over every single major trait it has had since its debut in 1963. These spy photos show two lightly camouflaged cars doing some winter testing, and, despite the lack of badging, there can be no doubt as to what they are. Although similar in looks to the current 991.2 generation, a few cues tell us this is in fact an all-new model.

Just days ago we brought you our best look yet at the next-generation Porsche 911. Then we brought you another batch of spy shots of the convertible version, similarly undergoing winter testing in the cold and snow. Now we have another glimpse at the 992, but with one vital difference.

It hasn’t been long since the 991-generation 911 received its mid-cycle facelift, and it appears that Porsche is already working on the next-generation sports car. Our paparazzi spotted a 911 prototype being tested on public roads, and even though the model looks similar to the current-gen 911, we’re quite sure the Germans are actually testing underpinnings for the upcoming model, due to arrive sometime in 2018.

The 911 model from Porsche Company is certainly great and one of the most successful models in the Porsche lineup. The next generation of this model will most likely come very soon because we’ve received some spy photos from the first testing. So far, we only saw the test mules that was hidden underneath the body of the current “991”. Now, the newly tester definitely wears some new elements. Considering the fact that the new generation 2019 Porsche 911 will be ready for the dealerships most likely for two years, at this point we don’t have so many official information’s about it.

Beneath the taillight, we can see a bit different intakes. More precisely, it seems that the rear intakes are now larger than on the current model. Moving forward we can also notice some differences compared to the current vehicle. First of all, we can see that the surrounding edge of the rear quarter windows is concealed. Up front, we can see that the headlights of the next generation will be positioned at a different angle compared to this generation. Also, the body of 2019 Porsche 911 will be slightly wider compared to the current generation.

When it comes to the interior design, we don’t have official information’s and we don’t have photos. Everything about the cabin is based on assumption of some websites. As soon as we receive some official we will update. So far, we only know that the flat-bottomed steering wheel is the most likely option. Also, the leather will be probably standard upholstery. Of course, climate control is standard just like the newly infotainment system.

2019 Porsche 911 Specs

Everyone very much hope at the 2019 Porsche 911 release is better than the previous version. So we’ll review the interior, exterior and some other features of the new car in 2019 Porsche 911. Hopefully review the specifications of this car, can help you in choosing your dream car.

After conducting first tests wrapped in the bodies of the current 911, in 2017, Porsche has been testing the model with a mule that is significantly different from the current 911 models. This body features a couple of new LED headlights as well as revised trunk-lid. On the sides, the model features revised rear fenders. At the rear, the next-gen Porsche 911 has new taillights whose design is adopted from the Mission E concept. It retractable rear spoiler has been enlarged.

Up front, we can see a couple of new LED headlamps and a redesigned trunk lid. The latter is no longer rounded off around the edges and is narrower above the nose. The new design seems based on the original 911. Although the bumper is not yet complete and the vents seems to be similar to the previous model, expect to see new features once Porsche adds all the pieces to the puzzle.

As you may have guessed, the interior of the next-gen Porsche 911 is a mystery. Most likely, Porsche has not even started designing the cabin. For 2019, the cabin will most likely be overhauled. Therefore, expect a new dash, a new center console and a revised instrument cluster. I bet the steering wheel will also be revised perhaps to look like that of the 918 Spyder. In terms of technologies, you can expect a new and more advanced infotainment system with a huge screen.

While the current facelifted 911 range has benefited from a number of weight savings, the 992 will receive even more, thanks to a greater proportion of high-strength steel and aluminium. However, carbonfibre will not be used in the structure of the standard models and will instead be reserved for high-end models such as the GT2 and GT3.

2019 Porsche 911 Engine

As of this writing, nothing much is known about what will power the lineup of the 2019 Porsche 911 models. However, on the Carrera and Carrera S models, I expect the current 3.0 L, turbocharged inline-6 mill to carry over. This engine has just been introduced on the model for the 2017 model year replacing the model’s previous natural aspirated mills. Thus, I expect the engine to carry over for the Carrera and Carrera S models for 2019. Currently, the engine produces 370 hp and 331 lb-ft of torque in the Carrera and 420 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque in the Carrera S.

Although Porsche has yet to confirm it, a hybrid model is also in the works. However, there’s no information as to what gasoline engine the German might combine with one or more electric motors. The V-6 in the Cayenne and Panamera hybrid models is out of the question, while the 918’s V-8 system is probably to large for the 911, but Porsche will definitely use the valuable lessons it learned while developing the supercar. One option would be the 919 race car’s hybrid drivetrain that includes a flat-four, but Porsche could also create a brand-new combo for the 911.

New Porsche 911 2019 will be powered by the same engine as the current model. The word is about the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-6 engine. As we know, this engine debuted in 2017 911 model. This engine will be capable of generating up to 370 horsepower and 331 pound-feet torque. In the Carerra S, we can expect max power output of 420 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque. The engine will be most likely mated to the same transmission system as before.
